Project Neecheewam Inc. (Neecheewam) is a professionally staffed community based organization. We are designed to meet the unique and individual needs of youth requiring safe care. Plans are facilitated through crisis intervention, alternative care and/or emergency resources that are reflected in a culturally diverse manner.

Youth Care Practitioner: Full Time, Part Time or Casual at multiple locations

Example of Duties and Responsibilities may include but not limited to:

  • Work independently and as a valued team member
  • Ability to multi task in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to conduct oneself in a professional capacity when dealing with all CFS Agencies or any other related external organizations
  • Possess a high level of advocacy skills
  • Organizational, problem solving and analytical skills are necessary
  • Light household cleaning and maintenance as per schedule
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be confident in decision making
  • Knowledge and appreciation of aboriginal culture

Preferred Requirements:

  • Current Standard First Aid/CPR,
  • Current Non Violent Crisis Intervention certification;
  • Child Abuse Registry including Prior Contact and Criminal Record Check are mandatory;
  • Valid Driver's license including Driving Record Check (abstract);
  • Child and Youth Care Certification or CORE Training an asset;
  • Willingness to obtain necessary training
