Blue Turtle (Ozhaawashk Mishiikenh)
Long term healing space for female youth ages 12-17.
Blue Turtle is a three-bed home for all nations young women ages 12-17. While providing long term healing space through trauma informed care. We dedicate ourselves to follow the 7 Sacred Teachings in every day routines, and use an Indigenous approach to healing and programming. Our youth are supported through care staff, families and community resources.
This home is specific to youth who have demonstrated behaviours that indicate a high need for additional structure, supervision, and support. We commit to achieve a nurturing and consistent therapeutic environment through group intervention and counselling with Youth Care Practitioners.
